If you're planning a trip to the Galapagos (December to May), here are some essential items you should consider packing.

Lightweight, quick-drying clothing - The weather in the Galapagos can be quite warm and humid, so breathable, moisture-wicking clothing will help keep you comfortable during outdoor activities.
Swimsuit and beach towel - You'll want to spend plenty of time in the water, so be sure to pack a swimsuit and a quick-drying towel.
Sun protection - The equatorial sun can be strong, so bring plenty of sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses to protect your skin and eyes.
Comfortable walking shoes - Many of the islands' attractions involve walking over rocky terrain, so comfortable, sturdy shoes with good grip are a must.
Insect repellent - Although the Galapagos do not have a mosquito problem, some islands may have sand flies or other insects that can be bothersome.
Waterproof camera - With so much amazing wildlife both on land and underwater, you'll want to capture as many photos and videos as possible. Consider bringing a waterproof camera or a waterproof housing for your regular camera.
Cash - While many places on the islands do accept credit cards, it's always a good idea to bring some cash for tips, souvenirs, and other small expenses.
A daypack - A small backpack or daypack can be useful for carrying your water, sunscreen, camera, and other essentials during daily excursions.
Overall, keep in mind that packing light is key, as many of the small boats and planes that transport visitors to and from the islands have weight restrictions. You may also want to check with your tour operator or accommodation provider for any specific items they recommend bringing or leaving behind.
