The Galapagos Islands and Ecuador are a fantastic destination to visit all year round! Thanks to its geographical location, there are only two seasons, the dry season between June and November and the rainy season between December and May - perfect for a multifaceted trip!
The best time to visit Ecuador depends on your interests and the regions you wish to visit. Here are some general considerations:

1. Coast and Galapagos: The warm and humid season extends from December to May. The average temperature is between 25°C and 30°C. Even the nights are pleasantly warm, with temperatures around 20°C. The sea is calm, making it ideal for diving and snorkelling. Underwater visibility is usually good, making the region particularly suitable for observing marine life such as sea turtles and sharks.

2. Sierra (Andes): The dry season extends from June to November and offers ideal conditions for outdoor activities and mountain exploration. The sky is usually completely clear, there are strong winds and temperatures are cool, especially at night. Temperatures range from 15°C to 20°C during the day, while at night they can drop to 5°C in higher areas.

3. Amazon The climate is hot and humid all year round, but the rainy season extends from August to November. Although the recommended season is December to July, the Amazon offers unique experiences all year round. Every season has its own charm. If you travel during the rainy season (December to July), you can expect wet weather and muddy roads. However, you will be able to experience the rainforest at its most vibrant and colourful.
